Episode 10 - Assault On Trip At Sacred Ground!

Ichigo and Rukia are at a very popular show, “Drop-in”, in which Don Kanonji supposedly exorcises spirits. Ichigo hates these shows but goes to appease his father and Yuzu. Things go awry, however, when Kanonji opens the hole in the chest of a demi-Hollow (spirit bound to the earth by regrets), thinking he is exorcising it, thus turning it into a Hollow. Ichigo must fight this Hollow without involving the innocent bystanders. Is that possible? Well, he does get some help from Urahara and Kanonji, the “hero”, himself.

Episode 9 - Unbeatable Enemy!

Ichigo realizes that the Hollow he now faces is the one who killed his mother, and is enraged enough to carelessly lunge at him, who has evaded the Shinigami for over 50 years – Grand Fisher. As Ichigo gets beaten up pretty badly by Grand Fisher due to his ability to use his head appendage to take the form of his opponent’s loved one, in this case, Masaki. However, this appendage suddenly remembers Masaki’s dying wish, and hearing that wish, Ichigo is inspired and manages to defeat the Hollow, although not killing it. Ichigo wants now to become stronger to protect people from Hollows.

Episode 8 - June 17, Memories in the Rain

The Kurosaki family goes to visit the grave of Masaki, their mother. Ichigo finds Rukia already there, and Rukia tells him that it is possible that a Hollow had killed his mother. She later discovers a Shinigami who has come to ask her reason for exceeding her time limit in the human world, and when Ichigo comes and says that he is a “temporary Shinigami”, he says that she has committed a felony and fights with Ichigo. But a Hollow appears to divert their attention from each other, and once more, the lives of the Kurosaki family are put in jeopardy.

Episode 7 - Greetings From A Stuffed Toy

Urahara and company prepare to collect their merchandise, while “Ichigo” tries to attack three children, but is stopped by Ichigo. A Hollow appears and “Ichigo” fights it, getting injured in the process. Ichigo arrives to save the day, but “Ichigo” is the real hero – he saves those 3 children from being squashed by the Hollow. Urahara comes to remove the mod-soul from Ichigo’s body, but Rukia and Ichigo take back the “inferior goods” and end up putting it into a lion plushie. From Soul Society, a Shinigami has been dispatched to look for Rukia, whilst memories of a very rainy night fill Ichigo’s head.

Episode 6 - Fight to the death! Ichigo vs. Ichigo

Rukia is late for school, after having gone to shop at the Urahara Store. Punching Ichigo and dragging him away to the rooftop, she throws him a tube of Soul Candy, and asks him to try one. Ichigo does, and his soul exits his body, and a temporary soul is inserted. Unfortunately, this soul is a mod soul that has the supernatural power of jumping high and running fast. He uses this power to amaze everyone, and in class, ruins Ichigo’s image by kissing Tatsuki and Orihime. Escaping from the real Ichigo and Rukia, he stumbles upon three boys playing video games and deleting their characters.

Episode 5 - Beat the Invisible Enemy!

Rukia, unable to fight the Hollow in her weakened state, has no choice but to wait for Ichigo. But help appears earlier in the form of Chad, who with his bulging muscles puts up a gallant fight against the Hollow, who is the murderer of Shibata’s mother as well as the one who put Shibata in the cockatiel’s body. The Hollow is also able to produce Stitch-like creatures which have within them leeches detonable with a ring of the Hollow’s tongue. Ichigo arrives to save the day as usual, slaying the Hollow and sending it to hell, and Shibata to Soul Society.

Episode 4 - The Cursed Parakeet!

Chad receives what his friends say is a cursed cockatiel, which is really a normal cockatiel possessed by a young boy ghost who saw the murder of his mother right before his eyes. The bird is said to bring misfortune to its owners, and true enough, Chad meets with numerous accidents; from traffic accidents to a steel girder falling on him. Finally, he encounters a Hollow, but Rukia is there to help, although she has not regained enough of her powers to fight properly. The memories of the ghost have flown into Karin, who now feels unwell. She begs Ichigo to save the boy and send him to heaven.

Episode 3 - The Older Brother's Wish, The Younger Sister's Wish

Orihime’s brother-turned-Hollow turns on her, pushing her soul out of her body and attacking Tatsuki. Initially, Ichigo loses to him, but later gives the Hollow a good talking to about the roles of Big Brothers. Orihime’s words strike a chord in the Hollow, and after fighting a winning battle against another Hollow, he decides to end himself instead of becoming a monster once more. After Orihime bids him a proper goodbye, the Hollow disappears. Orihime and Tatsuki do not remember anything the next day because Rukia used a memory modifier on them, like she had on Ichigo’s family previously.

Episode 2 - A Shinigami's Work!

Ichigo’s family seems to believe that a truck had smashed into their house, and find it a miracle no one was hurt. That’s not the last surprise for Ichigo that day, for when he gets to school, he discovers that the new transfer student sitting next to him is none other than Kuchiki Rukia. She wants him to take over her role of Shinigami for the area, but he does not feel ready yet. He soon discovers yet another surprise: his closet has an inhabitant - Kuchiki Rukia! After a short fight with a Hollow he recognizes as Orihime’s brother, he learns what a Hollow really is.

Episode 1 - The day I became a Shinigami

An orange-haired boy beats up some hooligans for knocking over flowers laid for a dead girl, and we soon learn that he is Kurosaki Ichigo, who is able to see ghosts. A weird creature appears in the town and wreaks havoc, but is stopped by a woman dressed in a black kimono. She appears in Ichigo’s room later, and we discover that she is a Shinigami, and that the creature is a Hollow or evil spirit. One appears at Ichigo’s house, attracted by his high spirit power. In a bid to save his family, Ichigo becomes a Shinigami.

Ragnarok

Just started watching this series. It’s been here for quite some time I guess, but I just got the DVD. The series follows closely to the Dungeons and Dragons theme and is a great anime for RPG lovers. From towns to merchants to underground waterways to dungeons, with a vast number of monstrosities, this is another one of those ‘A’ class series that I would recommend.

Ragnarok Episode 1 – What is That Sword of Yours There For?

The series starts with a group of seasoned adventurers starting on a journey. Before they move off, they are attacked by a group of orcs. The next scene shows Yuufa, an acolyte, praying at her brother’s grave and Roan, an apprentice swordsman, urging her on. They reach the city of Prontera where there has been news that the orcs and other beasts are turning vicious and that they have been attacking adventurers. Roan and Yuufa gets lost in the city and finds a magician being robbed by a couple of thugs. Yuufa tries to stand up for the magician, and just as Roan gets enough courage to stand and fight, the Commander of the Prontera Knights, Elman turns up and scares the thugs away. To thank Yuufa and Roan for helping, Takius treats the couple to a meal at the local inn. The thugs, lead by their mistress, attempts to take revenge on the trio. They bring forth a twig and by breaking it, they summon an apparition, the Keeper of the Clock Tower to attack the trio. Takius urges Roan and Yuufa to defeat the apparition themselves. Roan distracts the Keeper while Takius prepares a Cold Bolt. Takius casts a Frost Diver and demobilizes the Keeper, but just as Roan attempts to strike it, the Keeper regains its movement and attacks Takius. Roan is also knocked down. With one more Cold Bolt, Takius attacks the Keeper and urges Roan to wake up. Roan steps up and wounds the Keeper, giving Takius sufficient time to cast a Lightning Bolt and thus defeating the Keeper before the Prontera Knights appear.

Ragnarok Episode 2 – Please Look After Me Kindly Onii-Chan

A Dark Elf is seen talking to a Golden Thief Bug in the underground waterways asking it to Rage in this realm as it wishes.
Roan tells Yuufa of Thief Bugs multiplying in the underground waterways causing water supply to the city to be cut off. Roan also mentions about a Golden Thief Bug. The duo goes underground and finds a Poring asking for help. It seems its master is being surrounded by a group of bugs. Roan frees the girl by using Magnum Break on the bugs. The girl introduces herself as Maya-Chan or Ma-Chan the Merchant. As they are traveling, Roan gets angry with Maya and she dashes off. Maya reaches the other end of the dungeon and then accidentally steps on the Golden Thief Bug. Roan fights the bug, and is almost hit before Yuufa casts Increased Agility on him. The bug spurts fire, which causes the party to fall. The bug wounds roan, but Yuufa is unable to heal him because she is out of MP. The bug hits the wall and the wall crumbles separating Maya from the duo. Maya finds a MP recovery potion and gets her Poring to splash the potion onto Yuufa. Yuufa casts heal on Roan, and Roan impales the bug just in time. Roan gets a Golden Thief Bug card as a result of beating the bug. In another scene, Illuga, the assassin, and his female archer companion, Judia, are faced with a group of orcs. Illuga attacks the leader and cuts his mask into two, but finds Keough, Yuufa’s dead brother facing him. The orcs and their leader leave the scene.

Ragnarok Episode 3 – I Believe in Her

The opening scene shows Roan, Yuufa and Keough fleeing from the dungeon of Glast Heim. As they reach the gate, they meet a Dark Knight. Keough parries a blow from the Dark Knight and Illuga lends his aid. Keough however asks Illuga to bring the others to safety and as Illuga takes them out of the gate, Keough is killed by the Dark Knight. Back in the present, the trio reaches Geffen Tower. They find the city full of wounded adventurers and people hiding in their houses by noon. It seems a ghost haunts the dungeon and that many adventurers have tried conquering the dungeon but ended up wounded. The trio decides to enter the dungeon and they meet up with Takius at the entrance. Takius is uneasy traveling with Maya as she seems out for self-profit only. The team is attacked by multiple giant spiders and just as a group is defeated, a Whisper appears. Roans weapon is ineffective against the Whispers and the team gets trapped by the Whispers and Spiders. Maya escapes using Butterfly wings. The team gets angry with Maya for leaving them, but Maya reappears with a Fire Imbued Sword. Roan uses the sword to free himself from the spider webs, and defeats the Spiders and Whispers. The team then leaves the dungeon to recuperate before their next attempt on the dungeon.

Ragnarok Episode 4 – Is That Your Strength?

The series starts with an explanation of the town of Geffenia. It seems that the city collapsed from earth shaking lightning all in one night. No one knows what happened. Some magicians gathered and rebuilt a new city called Geffen. But it is rumored that under the city, hatred from prior lives appears in the form of doppelgangers and nightmares.
The team ventures once more into Geffen Dungeon. This time, with the flame sword, Roan is more prepared. When the Whispers turn invisible, Yuufa casts Ruwach to reveal their location, and Roan and Takius make short work of the Whispers. A Pumpkin Jack appears from a corner and chases Maya. The team follows Maya and ends up in the former Geffenia town. Using increased agility, Roan defeats the Pumpkin, and the team ends up at the entrance of the gate where the ghosts sleep. Takius opens the gate, and a Nightmare appears. At the same time, Roan is separated from the party and is confronted by a Doppelganger. As Roan is battling this creature, Illuga appears and defeats the Doppleganger. Judia aids Takius and defeats the Nightmare.

Ragnarok Episode 5 – What Did You Just Say?

The scene starts with Illuga and Keough battling against a Goat Minotaur Baphomet, and Illuga wounding the Minotaur’s left eye. The party journeys to Prontera. While Yuufa wanders off to get water for the party, she is attacked by Baphomet. Roan, Takius and Illuga try to fight Baphomet, but is unable to fend against the Minotaur. The archer wounds Baphomet, but that was a mere scratch to the beast. The archer distracts the Minotaur with her eagle companion, and traps the Minotaur. The Minotaur breaks free easily. Finally the team meets Baphomet straight on, but not knowing that Roan is on a tree waiting to pounce on Baphomet’s other eye, Roan catches the beast unaware. Just before Roan’s blade strikes, a whip from a Dark Elf entangles Roan’s hands, saving Baphomet from being wounded. Baphomet leaves the scene without further encounter with the party and tells the Dark Elf not to compare him with her owner. At a resting place, the archer asks Illuga if the person they met earlier and the person Baphomet mentioned was the same person Keough. Yuufa queries Illuga on whether her brother is alive but Illuga stays silent.

Naruto - The Movie - "The Mission to Rescue the Snow Princess"

Kakashi requests Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke to watch a movie on Princess Fuun prior to their next mission. After the movie, while waiting for Kakashi sensei to turn up, the actress playing Princess Fuun, Fujikaze Yukie, appears on horseback and is pursued by several horsemen. The three engaged the pursuers and Naruto leaves with the princess as the rest of the horsemen are subdued by Sakura and Sasuke. Kakashi then appears and informs them that the leader of the horsemen, Sandayuu is actually the client of the mission.
At the riverside, Yukie ditches Naruto as she rides off on horseback. Naruto follows her and they both fall off the horse as a couple of kids emerge at a junction. When the kids realize that it is Yukie, they request for her autograph, but were rejected. Meanwhile, the director of the movie tells Kakashi, Sakura and Sasuke that the horsemen were stuntmen and master guards of the studio. He reveals that their mission is to escort Yukie to Snow Country to continue the filming. Sandayuu exclaims that Yukie started running away when she was told she had to go to the Snow Country.
Naruto trails Yukie for her autograph but is sprayed with pervert repellant whilst he was staring at a Hexagonal Crystal she was wearing. At a bar, Yukie refuses to follow the team to board the next ship to the Snow Country, and Kakashi has no choice but to make her unconscious using his Sharingan. In the next scene, a group of Shinobi is seen reporting to their master that Fujikaze Yukie is actually Princess Kazahana Koyuki that they have been searching for the past ten years. They also mention that Hatake Kakashi will be escorting her there and that it is fated that they will meet again.

Yukie wakes up and finds herself on the ship heading toward the Snow Country. They act out a scene of the movie on board. Later on, the crew informs the director that an iceberg blocks the path of the ship. The director decides to land and start filming there. While filming, the Snow Shinobi appears. Fubuki and Mizore attack Princess Koyuki, while Rouga Nadare confronts Kakashi. Fubuki uses Hyouton Tsubame Fubuki (Ice Element, Swallow Attack) on Sasuke, which counters with Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu. Fubuki then uses Hyouro no Jutsu (Ice Prison Technique). Mizore is pummeling Naruto and Kakashi uses Suiton Suiryuudan no Jutsu (Water Element, Water Dragon Blast Technique) to assist Naruto. Naruto notices that there’s something wrong with the Shinobi’s armor. Kakashi explains that the armor is Chakra Armor and Rouga adds that the armor increases chakra, improves techniques and nullifies and reflects enemy chakra. Rouga uses Hyouton, Haryuu Muuko (Ice Element, Piercing Dragon Fierce Tiger) and Kakashi counters with Suiton Suiryuudan. Sasuke almost captures Fubuki, but she escapes using her armor wings. Mizore attacks Yukie and wounds Sakura on the way. Kakashi tries to help, but Rouga uses Hyouton, Itsukaku Hakuegei (Ice Element, One Horned Whale) to stop him. Kakashi copies the Jutsu and buys enough time for everyone to escape.
On the ship, Kakashi explains to Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke that Yukie is a real Princess. Sandayuu adds that he was in service to King Sousetsu but ten years ago, Dotou, Sousetsu’s brother, hired some Shinobi to revolt and take over the country. Kakashi saved the princess and had to run away.
Sandayuu pleads for the princess to overthrow Dotou and become Queen of the country. Yukie refuses. The director then informs that he intends to continue filming the movie. On the trail, Sandayuu tells Kakashi that lots of residents of the Snow Country are waiting for Yukie on the other side of a cave. They stop to film, but the crew tells the director that Yukie ran away. Naruto finds Yukie and carries her back. Railway tracks appear out of the snow through a chakra source and a train chases Naruto and the princess. They barely make it out of the cave when the train stops and Dotou addresses Yukie. Sandayuu brings an army of men from the Snow Country 50th Brigade to attack Dotou but a rain of blades emerge from Dotou’s train wounding or killing the men. Sasuke and Sakura use explosives to damage the train, but Dotou gets away. Sandayuu, at his dying breath, requests the Princess to believe in herself like he and the rest believed in her. A flying ship appears and captures Yukie. Naruto hangs on to the ship. In the ship, Dotou explains that a massive weapon is hidden in the Rainbow Glaciers and that the Hexagonal Crystal that Yukie has is the key to the weapon. Naruto appears but all his forms using Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Mass Shadow Clone Technique) is captured. They attach a chakra control device on Naruto to drain off all his chakra. Yukie hands over her crystal, but the crystal is a fake as Kakashi switched it in the ship.
In the prison, Yukie tells Naruto that she stopped believing that Spring existed. Naruto tells her he will prove that Sandayuu and Sousetsu were right and breaks the chains to free himself. He tries to open the cell, but is electrocuted.
Kakashi attacks the castle at night. Naruto escapes with Yukie and they meet up with Kakashi. Kakashi returns the crystal and they escape with Sasuke and Sakura. They meet Dotou at the main hall. Yukie passes the crystal to Dotou, but then stabs him with a dagger. Dotou strangles Yukie and then reveals that he is protected by the new chakra armor. Dotou carries Yukie to the Rainbow Glaciers and opens the weapon using the crystal.
Fubuki and Mizore pursue Sakura and Sasuke. Sakura uses Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu (Sakura Blizzard Technique) to defeat Mizore, while Sasuke defeats Fubuki with Shishi Rendan (Lion Combo). When the two Shinobi land near each other, their armors explode. Meanwhile, Kakashi faces Rouga. Kakashi uses Raikiri (Lightning Edge) while Rouga uses Hyouton, Rouga Nadare no Jutsu (Ice Element, Rouga Nadare’s Technique). Kakashi defeats Rouga using Taijutsu.
Back at Rainbow Glaciers, the key activates a warming generator that melts the ice. Naruto appears and Dotou uses Hyouton, Kokuryuu Boufuusetsu (Ice Element, Black Dragon Blizzard). Sasuke appears and uses Chidori to damage Dotou’s armor. Naruto calls upon the Kyuubi to give him strength and retaliates with Tajuu Kage Bunshin no Jutsu. Dotou uses Souryuu Boufuusetsu and destroys all the clones. Naruto has Rasengan ready to strike behind Dotou. Just as Naruto strikes, the seven-colored chakra appears and magnifies his Rasengan. The crystals around cracks and the Snow Country turns to Spring. An illusion of her father talking to Yukie about the future appears.
Princess Koyuki ends up as Queen of Snow Country but tells the Konoha ninja that she’ll be doubling as Queen and Actress. The movie ends with Sasuke passing Naruto an autographed photo of Yukie kissing him in the hospital.

Naruto - Episode Summary

Episode 1: Enter Naruto Uzumaki

12 years from the start of the story, a Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacks Konoha. In an attempt to defeat the demon, the 4th Hokage (Kage refers to the ninja of highest standing in the hidden villages) sealed its essence within the body of a baby boy. In the present, the child is now a young teenager, Naruto Uzumaki. He attends a Ninja Academy. However, because of the incident 11 years ago, the villagers see him as the demon that killed many in the village. As a result, Naruto becomes a mischievious vagrant tyring to get the attention of people surrounding him. Naruto dreams to become a Hokage so he can then make the people of Konoha acknowledge his existence. Naruto's performance in school is however less than stellar and the only person who acknowledges him is his instructor Iruka! After he fails the academy exam a third time, a fellow instructor, Mizuki, tells Naruto how he could get the Scroll of Sealing to revert the decision to allow him to graduate. When the village finds out that the scroll is missing, all shinobi are mobilised to find Naruto. Iruka finds him and a fight ensues between both Mizuki and Iruka. Iruka uses his body to shield off attacks meant to kill Naruto. Now knowing what dwells within him, Naruto uses the new technique he acquired from the Scroll of Sealing, 'Shadow Replication', where a ninja replicates himself not by illusion, but by creating real physical bodies. Iruka realizes that Naruto only reacted in mischief all this while to get himself acknowledged as a person. Iruka reverts his decision and allows Naruto to graduate.

Episode 2: My Name is Konohamaru

Having graduated from the ninja academy, Naruto must enter himself in the ninja registry. After an argument with the Hokage (who falls victim to Naruto's 'temptation no jutsu'), a little brat runs in trying to attack the old man. He introduces himself as the grandson of the Hokage, Konohamaru. After his failed attack, Konohamaru follows Naruto, wanting to be taught the move that Naruto used to "defeat" the Hokage. After Konohamaru accepts Naruto as his ''Big Boss', Naruto coaches Konohamaru on how to use the 'temptation no jutsu'. Afterwards, Konohamaru explains that he attacks his grandfather because he wants to be recognized for something other than being the grandson of the leader of the village. Meanwhile, Konohamaru's tutor, Ebisu, scours the forest to find his young master. Upon finding them, he tries to force Konohamaru to come home with him. After using the temptation no jutsu (which fails miserably) on Ebisu, Naruto jumps in with his 'kage bunshin no jutsu' (Shadow Replication). Not phasing the elite tutor, he tries a different tactic in which he combines the 'kage bunshin no jutsu' with the 'temptation no jutsu' to form the 'harem no jutsu' (he transforms himself and his replications into pretty (naked) girls). Ebisu falls to the ground with a major nose bleed. Naruto explains to Konohamaru that being the Hokage is not as easy as he thinks. As Naruto walks away, Konohamaru finds new admiration for him and claims that they are now rivals for the position of Hokage.

Episode 3: Sasuke and Sakura: Friends or Foes?

Naruto is finally going to become an official ninja, as well as the rest of his class! It's all a happy story until Sensei picks a team for all the ninjas. Naruto was teamed up with his crush, Sakura, and his potential enemy Uchiha Sasuke. Naruto is trying his best to hook up with Sakura but she's constantly pushing him away for Sasuke...

Episode 4: Pass or Fail: Survival Test

Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura meet their Sensei, Kakashi Hatake. He tries to start a conversation by asking the 3 to tell him their names, likes, dislikes, dreams, and hobbies. After that, Kakashi gets down to business by telling Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura that they will be doing survival training. He also explains that out of 27 graduates, only 9 become ninjas. The other 18 are sent back to the academy. To start the training, the 3 must meet in the woods at 5 am, and skip breakfast. When Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura meet, Naruto and Sakura are tired, but Sasuke doesn't even look the slightest bit tired. Kakashi-sensei tells the 3 that they need to grab one of the 2 bells before noon or they will not get lunch. While Kakashi-sensei is talking, he says to ignore the guy with the lowest score. This gets Naruto angry, and he throws a dagger at Kakashi-sensei. He catches it and points it at Naruto. He breaks free and Sensei tells the three to start. Meanwhile, Hokage and Iruka are talking about the sensei teaching Naruto. Hokage tells him it's Kakashi. Iruka says that he's heard a disturbing rumor about Kakashi, but he doesn't say it.Back in the woods, Sasuke and Sakura are well hidden, while Naruto is right behind Kakashi. He is tempted to attack, but doesn't. Naruto hears Kakashi talk about "taijutsu," when ninjas fight hand to hand without weapons. Kakashi gets Naruto from behind and attacks his butt. Naruto is sent flying into the sea. Then, Iruka learns that Kakashi has never passed a person. After that, Naruto comes out of the water using the shadow replication no jutsu to distract Kakshi while another replication grabs one of the bells. He almost succeeds, but Sensei disappears. It turns out he used the replacement technique, when you act like you get hurt, then replace yourself with another person or object, and disappear. In this process, Kakashi drops a bell. Naruto tries to grab it, but walks into a trap. Sasuke sees this as an opening, and throws a few daggers at Kakashi. The daggers strike Kakashi and he falls to the floor. Every one thinks he is dead.

Episode 5: You Failed! Kakashi's Final Decision

Sasuke’s efforts are in vain as his ninja stars hit a log. Kakashi used the replacement technique again and the log was just another Kawarimi (changed body). He now knows where Sasuke is. Sakura takes off after him, but Kakashi ends up behind her. He creates a illusion using Genjutsu (Illusion Skills), which depicts Sasuke dying with ninja stars stuck throughout his body. Sakura faints in horror. Sasuke attacks Kakashi and through several attacks, almost gets a bell. Kakashi acknowledges that he is different from the other two. Sasuke performs fire element, Grand Fireball no Jutsu and blows fire at Kakashi, but Kakashi disappears by performing Earth Element, Earth Decapitation no Jutsu. He then reaches up from the ground and grabs Sasuke’s leg to pull him into the ground. He then explains lesson 3: Ninjutsu. Suddenly the bell rings and sensei declares that they all should quit as ninjas. He tells them they are a disgrace to ninjas. The answer lies with teamwork, but none of them have worked together and it’s too late now. There are two bells to see who would be willing to sacrifice their own place in favor of teamwork, but the two bells serve as a divider amongst the team. They all fell for the trap and worked to serve their own selfish desires. Sensei walks over to a stone memorial. He explains that this memorial includes the names of all the heroes of the village - those who lost their lives for the success of the mission. His best friend’s name is also carved there. Kakashi decides to give them one last chance after lunch. He tells them, though, that those who feed Naruto will fail. Both decide to feed Naruto, but Sakura is the one to feed him. Kakashi immediately appears and threatens them with a lightning storm. The three immediately declare that they will face Kakashi as a team. Kakashi declares that they all pass. Amazed, they query on Kakashi's sudden change of heart. He tells them that up until now, the others under him did everything he told them to. A ninja that does not follow instructions is scum, but a ninja that does not take care of his teammates is worse than scum!

Episode 6: A Dangerous Mission! Journey to the Land of Waves!

Sasuke, Sakura, and Naruto are going after the target in their current mission. They pounce and capture a cat, thus completing “Operation Capture Tora the Lost Pet” for Madam Shijimi, wife of the Country of Fire’s Feudal Lord. She is thrilled and they realise why the cat ran off. Soon they set off for their next ninja training mission: babysitting Yojyu-sama’s boy, grocery shopping, etc. Naruto starts whining that he’s sick of these stupid missions and he is soon apprehended by Iruka sensei. Hokage-sama then explains what missions are. People come to the village requesting tasks every day. Those tasks are then separated into the difficulty levels A, B, C, and D, just as ninjas are separated into Hokage, Jounins (Elite - like Kakashi), Chuunins (Commoners - like Iruka), and Genins (Cadets - like Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke) according to their abilities. 'A' tasks are assigned to the Jounins, 'B' and 'C' tasks are assigned to Chuunins and 'C' and 'D' tasks are assigned to Genins. Naruto still isn’t convinced and decides to sit and hold his breath. Hokage gives in and assigns the ninja cadets a 'C' task. A drunken man enters and insults Naruto. He then introduces himself as the bridge building expert Tazuna. Their task is to protect his life while he finishes building his bridge.As they journey towards the Country of the Wave, Tazuna again insults Naruto, which again makes him angry. Sakura then asks Kakashi if there are also ninjas in the Country of the Wave. He answers that there aren’t, but explains that there may be hidden ninja villages equivalent of the country’s military powers. They maintain their relationship with neighboring countries, but aren’t under the control of the country. Supposedly, they are equal in position. However, because the Country of the Wave is so small, they don’t need a ninja village. The five hidden villages for the country of fire (Hidden Village of Konaha (Leaf)), water (Hidden Village of Mist), lightning (Hidden Village of Cloud), wind (Hidden Village of Sand), and earth (hidden Village of Rock) make up the Five Great Ninja Powers. Their leaders carry the name of ‘Kage’. Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Kazekage, and Tsuchikage which are known as the ‘Five Kages’ that reign over tens of thousands of ninjas. When Sakura and Naruto hear that, they immediately doubt Hokage’s abilities. Suddenly, two ninjas with wraith like characteristics jump out from the trees and capture Kakashi. Naruto is next, but Sasuke fights back and takes out their chain weapons. The wraith aims at Tazuna, which was protected by Sakura. Sasuke places himself in front of Sakura. As the ninja approaches, Kakashi returns to take out the ninja. Naruto realised that Kakashi used the replacement technique replacing himself with tree branches before the initial attack. Naruto was poisoned from the battle and was startled that he couldn’t do anything while Sasuke acted in poise and was calm and unafraid. Kakashi explains that their two attackers are Chuunin class ninjas from the Hidden Village of Mist known as the Demon Brothers. They are trained to keep fighting no matter what the cause. Kakashi knew about them because there was a puddle on the ground. He thought that was strange because it hasn’t rained in several days. He waited to learn who their real target was. He then reprimands Tazuna for not revealing the actual difficulty of the mission. Sakura wants to give up and head back to the village. Naruto isn’t ready to pull out yet. He pulls out his kunai (throwing knife) and thrusts it into his wounded hand, vowing to become stronger and never to back down again. Kakashi asks to look at his hand and observes the wound has already started to heal. They continue the mission as planned. Meanwhile, the man who hired the Demon Brothers is perturbed that they couldn’t get the job done and rants to another ninja. That ninja reminds him threateningly that he is Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Hidden Village of Mist and he will get the job done.

Slayers - Episode Summary

Episode 1: Angry? Lina's furious dragon slave.

In the season's opener, we meet the lovely, Lina Inverse. She's just stolen a few treasures from a couple of bandits called the "Dragon Fangs" after using the "fireball" spells. The next day, Lina is hunted down by some of the bandits whom she stole from. A guy talks to her while the rest are not-so hiding well, willing to attack her. Right when she is about to fight, a tall, blond guy named Gourry comes to her rescue (although she could of handle it herself easy). Gourry is disappointed on the girl he saved (a child looking girl, who is underdeveloped) but he invites himself with Lina to the next town which is Atlas City. Once there, they eat at a restaurant. A village elder approaches Lina, and asks if it's really her, the great sorceress Lina Inverse. Lina smiles and says yes. Gourry is surprised to know that Lina is a sorceress, because of the clothes she is wearing. Lina gets angry at Gourry because he thought with the clothes she is wearing, she would be some kind of waitress of fish monger. The elder interrupts and asks about the bandits that has been hitting their town. Lina tells him about beating the Dragon Fangs. The elder is surprised, and Lina tells him that Gourry beat the rest of them off before heading into the town. The elder is shocked to see that they (or Lina) killed the black dragon. He runs out of the restaurant excited telling everyone that they killed the black dragon. Gourry then asks Lina if she killed the dragon. Lina tells him no, because she didn't know they had one. Gourry asks what they are going to do about the dragon. Lina asks if he wants to go hunting for a dragon, who knows where. Right at that moment, the dragon flies over their town. The village elder comes running in and asks them "You didn't kill the black dragon? What's the meaning of this? Lina responds that she never killed the dragon, but the Dragon Fangs. Lina asks how much are they willing to pay her to kill the dragon. The elder tries to reason with Lina, but she drives a hard bargin. They run out to the dragon, where the elder explains that the boss, when he was little, bought the dragon at a festival for three bronze pieces, and grew from time to time. Lina throws a fireball to the dragon which had no effect. Lina is about to do something else but Gourry runs and takes out his sword. He gets hit by the dragon's tail instead and falls ontop of Lina. Lina panics as a unconsicous Gourry doesn't move as the dragon comes stomping their way. When the dragon is about to stomp them, he decides not to. He misses them, and stomps away to another part of the town. Lina is upset that dragon embrassed her, and uses her levitation spell. She tells Gourry to distract the dragon while she chants a spell. Lina kicks Gourry to the dragon, and with his sword catches the dragon by it's nose. Gourry runs from the dragon, as Lina casts her "Dragon Slave" that not only kills the dragon but destroys the whole town. The elder appears out of the reckage, and Lina asks about the payment. The elder and the whole town says like hell they will pay after destroying their whole town. Lina tells Gourry to handle it as she runs away. Gourry chuckles, as the whole village looks at him. Gourry to runs away with Lina while the whole village chases them...

Inuyasha - Episode Summary

Episode 1: The girl who overcame time and the guy who has just been overcomed

550 years ago in Feudal Japan, the half-demon Inuyasha is sealed to a tree by the mortally wounded priestess Kikyo for stealing the Shikon no Tama to become a full demon. Meanwhile in the present, Kagome Higurashi (the reincarnation of Kikyo)goes back in time 500 years to Feudal Japan through a well on the grounds of her family shrine. In the past, Kagome meets Kaede, the aged priestess and sister of the departed Kikyo. After being attacked by a demon, Kagome frees the sealed Inuyasha to save herself. In the battle the Shikon no Tama emerges from Kagome's body!

Episode 2: Seekers of the sacred jewel

Inuyasha attacks Kagome to get the Shikon no Tama. Kaede puts a rosary on Inuyasha which causes him to drop to the ground that whenever Kagome utters the word "sit". When trying to get the Shikon no Tama back from a demon that steals it, Kagome accidentally shatters it into hundreds of pieces that are scattered all over Japan!

Episode 3: Down the rabbit hole and back again

After Inuyasha angers her, Kagome decides to return home to the present. At the well, she is attacked by Yura, a demon who is after the Shikon no Tama. Yura takes her shard and pushes her through the well. Later, Inuyasha chases after her...

Bleach - Episode Summary

Episode 1: The day I became a Shinigami

Kurosaki Ichigo, a teenage boy who can see ghosts, helps a young girl ghost when some skateboarders knock over a vase offering for her. The next day Ichigo sees the young girl being chased by a big monster called a Hollow. Ichigo goes to help the girl but when the girl is just about to be eaten a female shinigami, Kuchiki Rukia, appears and saves her. That night Rukia visits Ichigo’s room and is surprised when he can see her. While they are conversing a Hollow appears and starts attacking Ichigo’s family. After being injured by the Hollow Rukia gives Ichigo her powers so he can save his family.

Episode 2: A Shinigami's work

After last nights attack Ichigo decides to check up on his family and finds that they don’t remember anything that happened. Later that day in school Ichigo meets the shinigami from the night before, she is posing as an exchange student until her powers return. She tells him that he must take her place as a shimigami for now. Later when attacking a Hollow Ichigo knocks a little of the mask off and recognizes the Hollow as his friend Orihime’s older brother.

Episode 3: An older brother's wish, a the younger sister's wish

Orihime and her friend Tasuki are being attacked by a Hollow who was once Orihime's brother. Ichigo shows up and begins fighting with him. Orihime's brother is also struggling to gain control. Orihime is almost killed but her soul remains attached to her chain. Finally Orihime's brother gains control long enough to say one last goodbye to his sister before Ichigo sends his soul off to the soul society.

Episode 01: The Legendary Swordsman! The Man Who Fights for Love.

The story begins in the 11th year of the Meiji, as a rurouni (vagabond samurai) Himura Kenshin wanders into Tokyo. Here, we are introduced to the legendary assassin, Hitokiri Battousai, and learn that after the chaos during the Revolution, the Battousai was never seen again. 10 years later in Tokyo, Kenshin, our killer turned wanderer, appears in a village and is accosted on the street by Kamiya Kaoru, a young dojo instructor, who thinks he is a wanted serial killer Hitokiri Battousai. Unbeknownst to her, he is the real Hitokiri Battousai, not the imposter using the name of ‘Hitokiri Battousai of the Kamiya Dojo’. The imposter is Hiruma Gohei, an ex-student of the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu kendo dojo under Kaoru’s late father. Gohei is seeking revenge for being removed from the dojo. His actions are ruining the name of Kaoru's dojo, and she is determined to stop him.In pursuit of Gohei, Kaoru is attacked and Kenshin saves her from being cut in half. Kenshin nurses her wounds. Seeing that Kenshin looks poor and in need of shelter, Kaoru invites him to stay at her dojo. She later gets mad at him when he walks in on her while she is in the bath and retaliates by locking him in the storage barn. Kenshin sneaks out and as a result, Kaoru thinks he is gone for good. Later the same morning, Gohei comes calling with his cohorts. Gohei grabs Kaoru by the scruff of her neck, getting ready to throw her to his cohorts. Kenshin ends up rescuing her. During the fight with Gohei, Kenshin reveals that he is the real Hitokiri Battousai. After it's all over, Kenshin starts to leave, but Kaoru tells him the whole situation was his fault and that he has to compensate by staying to help her rebuild her dojo.

Episode 02: The Bratty Samurai! …. Why Don't You Become my Student?

In this episode, Kenshin meets a kid, Yahiko Myouji, a descendent of a long line of samurai warriors. After his parents died, they had a large debt to pay to a local Shueitai (organized crime).Kaoru tells Kenshin he is buying lunch for her, Ayame-chan, Suzume-chan, and Dr. Genzai. On the way into town Kenshin sees a boy steal a purse from an old man, then put the purse back into the hand of the old man's grandson. Kenshin lets the boy know he not only saw him, but respects him for his change of heart. The boy, "Tokyo Samurai" Myojin Yahiko, gets angry, retaliates and shouts insults at Kenshin and Kaoru. Kenshin just smiles and tells Yahiko to keep his 'pride' always. Yahiko is totally nonplussed and stomps off. Later at the Akabeko restaurant, Kenshin and Kaoru learn that Yahiko is 'owned' by the Shueitai. Kaoru gets angry and goes to rescue him. She makes a good attempt, beats a whole crowd of thugs, but fails. Both she and Yahiko are rescued by Kenshin. Kenshin then turns Yahiko over to Kaoru as her student (much against both Yahiko's and Kaoru's will.)

Episode 03: The Samurai in Sorrow. The Man Past Forgiveness.

Kaoru and Yahiko are learning to get along. Kenshin is cooking, cleaning and babysitting. While Kenshin heads into town to buy tofu, the Kamiya Kasshin Ryu dojo is visited by police trying to locate the Hitokiri Battousai. Kaoru sends Yahiko to warn Kenshin not to come home, because he will be arrested. Kenshin passes a government sword squad on his way back from the market with Ayame-chan and Suzume-chan.The sword squad is on its way into town to terrorize the locals. Yahiko, in his search for Kenshin to warn him of the police at the dojo, gets involved with the local conflict with the sword squad and is about to be executed when Kenshin shows up. There is some tense verbal interplay between the sword squad and Kenshin before the fight begins. When Kaoru and the police learn that Kenshin is in town fighting with the sword squad, Kaoru escapes from them to go warn/help Kenshin. Kenshin defeats the sword squad right before the police from the dojo show up. A Meiji Ishin cabinet member, Yamagata Aritomo, is with the police. He and Kenshin knew each other from the end of the Edo period, and Yamagata-san asks Kenshin to join the Meiji Ishin administration. Kenshin declines, saying that he has given up being the Hitokiri. As Kenshin, Kaoru, and Yahiko walk off, Yamagata-san says that Kenshin has not heard the last of him.

Episode 04: ‘One Word Evil’ … The fighter Sanosuke appears!

Kenshin and company are eating at the Akabeko when an argument breaks out at a table across the way. Three intoxicated customers are arguing the merits of the Meiji government. Yahiko and Kenshin laugh at the three men's inebriated state, then one of them aims a bowl at Kenshin's head. Yahiko gets mad, has heated words with the three men, and it looks like a fight might erupt. Tae-san, the owner of the restaurant, steps in to calm everyone down, and one of inebriated men backhands her and sends her smack into the arm of one very big cool dude named Sagara Sanosuke. Sano talks the men into taking their argument outside where he easily defeats the ringleader. Sano recognizes a fighter in Kenshin and challenges him. Kenshin pleasantly declines. Sano wanders off, but tells Kenshin that if he, Kenshin, ever changes his mind, he will be around.Bad man Hiruma Gohei was hiding in the shadows outside the Akabeko, watching the entire incident. Gohei had heard of Sano and approaches him with a proposition to kill Kenshin. Sanosuke originally only plans to accept the proposition because he wants a challenge, but when he hears Kenshin fought for the Ishin Shishi as the Hitokiri Battousai, it becomes a personal vendetta, since he hates the Ishin Shishi. Sano goes out to the dojo, and challenges Kenshin, but Ayame-chan and Suzume-chan appear, and Sano leaves, saying he is uncomfortable fighting 'all out' in front of women and children.

Episode 05: Sakaba versus Zanba! Fight the Desperate Fight.

Reverse-Edge Sword vs. Zanbatou!!Yahiko and Kaoru are worried about Sano coming to challenge Kenshin. Sano and Kenshin go to the river to fight uninterrupted, but Kaoru and Yahiko show up anyway. Sano is strong and fights with a sword called the zanba, which was designed for used to cut down horses from under their riders. The zanba is slow, however, giving Kenshin an edge to determine Sano’s moves. Sano attacks Kenshin with the massive zanba. Kenshin dodges easily, and slams Sanosuke in the back. He gets knocked down.Zanza has a flashback during one of his recuperating pauses (he is flat on his back on the ground) and we learn why he hates the Ishin Shishi. Zanza (Sanosuke) belonged to the Sekihoutai, a group which fought loyally for the Ishin Shishi. The leader of the Sekihoutai was Sagara Souzou. Sagara fought for and dreamed of a new era of peace and prosperity, but the Sekihoutai were used as scapegoats by the government and unjustly accused of lying to the people. The government then murdered them. Sanosuke escaped thanks to Sagara Souzou (Sano took Souzou's family name of Sagara as his own). Kenshin knew the true story of the Sekihoutai, not the lie spread by the government. “The Sekihou Tai army is crowded around a man, who seems to be a higher-ranking official. He tells them that they will be punished for lying to the people about taxes being lowered, but the captain tells the man that they were just taking orders from the imperial army. The man ignores this, and reveals a large army hidden in the brush, ready to execute the Sekihou Tai. It's a massacre, and young Sanosuke runs off with the captain on his shoulders. The man tells Sanosuke to leave him, that the imperial army is greedy and lying, and pushes him off a small cliff into the water, as the Sekihou Tai is destroyed forever”.Sanosuke jumps back up, declaring that he will never lose to an imperialist 'scum'. They fight some more, and Sanosuke is once again knocked down. At this time, however, Gohei, who is hiding in a bush, pulls a gun on Kenshin. He shoots, and Kenshin blocks it with his sword, cracking the hilt. Gohei quickly runs and grabs Kaoru and Yahiko, threatening Kenshin. Suddenly, Sanosuke moves, swinging his Zanbatou and smashing Gohei in the ankles, knocking him over. Kaoru and Yahiko run, and Gohei tries one last attempt to shoot Kenshin. Kenshin quickly slams the ground with his sword, sending a shockwave along and knocking Gohei presumably unconscious. Sanosuke is not ready to quit the fight yet, although he is thoroughly battered and bruised. He rushes Kenshin, and suddenly, Kenshin flips the Reverse-Blade Sword around. In one swift movement, he slices the Zanbatou in half, and elbows Sanosuke in the back in one final crushing blow. Sanosuke refuses to go down, still vowing to beat the strongest of the Imperialists. At this point, Kaoru yells out that Sanosuke is the bad one, who was part of a lying army. Yahiko concurs with her. Sanosuke gets angrier, but Kenshin jumps in. He tells Kaoru and Yahiko that people are not what they seem, and explains that the Imperials originally had planned to have a tax reduction plan when the new regime was in session. However, due to the revolution, they were in deep debt, and cut the tax reduction. Kenshin explains that the Sekihou Tai were used as a scapegoat as to not tarnish the people's view of the Meiji. Kenshin goes on to explain that the revolution is not over, that the government is still not complete, and people are still stuck in their old ways. That is why he decided to become a wanderer as well, because his only way to atone for his sins during the Revolution is to protect people with his sword. Sanosuke watches Kenshin, realizing he sounds just like his old Captain Sagara. He realizes what Kenshin truly means, and falls down, defeated. About a week later, Kaoru tells Kenshin that Gensai treated Sanosuke's wounds and sent him to a hospital, where he was supposed to stay for three weeks. They see him, however, pushing some drunks out of the Akabeko. He turns to Kenshin, smiling, and after some friendly chat, he says he'd like to tag along with Kenshin, because he too has given up his revolutionary ways, and wants to learn from him. Kenshin happily complies, and the Kamiya Dojo acquires their third new tenant.

Episode 06: Visitor From the Darkness.. The Kurogasa Appears

The chief of police comes to the Kamiya dojo to ask Kenshin for assistance. It seems there is a serial killer called Kurogasa that is killing government officials, and the police are unable to stop him. Kenshin agrees to assist. Sano tags along. The killer uses a technique called Nikaidou Keiho Shin no Ippou, which paralyzes the victim with fear. Kenshin is not affected, of course, and leaps out at Kurogasa right before Kurogasa can cut Sano's arm off.Seems Kenshin and Kurogasa know each other: Kurogasa is the Hitokiri Jin-eh, a rogue Shinsen Gumi outcast who killed friend and foe alike for the fun of it. Jin-eh is very excited to encounter the Hitokiri Battousai, but after fighting a few minutes, Jin-eh realizes he is fighting Himura Kenshin, not Battousai. Jin-eh leaves, telling Kenshin he will give him one day to revert to the Hitokiri, or he, Jin-eh, will kill Kenshin.Kenshin sends Sano back to the dojo to tell Kaoru and Yahiko that he will not return until he fights Jin-eh, because he cannot concentrate if he has to worry about their safety. Kaoru rejects this line of reasoning, fearing that if Kenshin reverts to the Hitokiri, he will never come back to her dojo. She heads down to the river to find Kenshin. When she does, she gives him her favorite blue ribbon, and insists that after his fight, he return it to her personally. Kenshin understands and agrees. As Kaoru turns to go back to the dojo, a boat appears along the river bank. From the boat, Jin-eh suddenly grabs Kaoru and carries her off down the river...

Tsuiokuhen episode 1: "The man of the slashing sword"

When bandits slay a travelling group of slave traders, the swordsman Hiko can only help the final living survivor - a boy named Shinta. He gives the boy a new name Kenshin, and takes him in to learn the skills of the sword art Hiten Mitsurugi. After some time, and despite his master's wishes, Kenshin leaves to use his skills to help the world, and is hired as an assassin to Katsura - a man who works with his allies to .... He kills as ordered, one of the best swordsmen they've ever known.Kenshin is never injured during his assassinations, except one night when he kills a young man who is soon to be married - the man leaves a long scar down his left cheek, which bleeds continually. Katsura can see that his pure heart may cause problems with the murders he must commit. Later at night, he is attacked by an assassin - he kills the assassin, just as a woman appears and sees what he has done - unknown to Kenshin, the same woman who was engaged to the man who left him with his scar.

Tsuiokuhen episode 2: "The lost cat"

The woman collapses, and Kenshin returns her to the inn, where she is cared for. Later, despite suspicious by many as to her identity, the woman Tomoe takes up work in their inn - none can find out about her past, while she secretly carries a dagger. Plans continue less openly, as an unknown traitor is within their group. The Shinsen Gumi plan their attack during a Kyoto festival; Kenshin is called to defend Katsura and his group - they have broken ties with an ally and may be in danger from both him and the Shinsen Gumi.Kenshin finally arrives but can do little to help, as most of his allies are dead - Katsura was not present at the meeting, and survived. Kenshin and Tomoe are sent away from Kyoto by Katsura, to pose elsewhere as man and wife and wait for further word from him.

Tsuiokuhen episode 3: "The previous night at the mountain home"

Kenshin and Tomoe are now living in a small isolated house posing as a married couple; shopping, cooking, planting crops. Meanwhile, the Choshu are troubled since the incident in Kyoto, and many of their members are defecting or dying. Iizuka keeps Kenshin informed of the world outside, but Kenshin seems very content with his home, and meanwhile Tomoe's fondness for him seems to be growing... she finds herself plagued by guilt from her past.But the deception is revealed - Iizuka is a spy, working for the Shogunate - he intends to help them bring about Kenshin's downfall. Tomoe's younger brother Enishi is also working with them, as envoy of the Shogunate. Tomoe confesses her past to Kenshin. Winter is coming; as Tomoe finds second love with the man who killed her first, and leaves him to save him... but Iizuka uses this to instill doubt in Kenshin's mind that she was the spy - and his scar bleeds again.

Tsuiokuhen episode 4: "The cross-shaped wound"

Iizuka decieves Kenshin that Tomoe has been the spy all along - he sets out to hunt her down. At the mountaintop shrine, Tomoe finds Tatsumi waiting for Kenshin; Enishi is hiding nearby. ... explains how Tomoe has been used; she tries to kill herself but he stops her. Assassins along the road begin their attack, injuring Kenshin badly but failing to kill him - but by traps left there, he ends up with disabled hearing and sight. Memories of his past flash by him, and finally he reaches the mountaintop.Tatsumi begins the battle, easily battering the wounded Kenshin. Inside the building Tomoe is visited by an illusion of her past fiancee, covered in blood, while outside Kenshin runs to his death... and Tomoe steps between, saving Kenshin from the killing blow, as his blade slices through both her and Tatsumi! She cuts a cross into the slash on Kenshin's cheek, and dies. Kenshin will live on with the pain, to atone for his past sins. Iizuka is finally brought to justice by Katsura's new assassin, and Kenshin will once again fight for the Choshu clan; the new Meiji era is brought about, and the Hitokiri Battousai lives on.

Seisouhen episode 1 & 2

Meiji 26 - The war on the continent is over, and the survivors are returning home - but Kaoru still waits for Kenshin, who was lost at sea... Flashback: Kenshin accepted a request to go to war, despite his illnesses. In the present, Kaoru cries and collapses at home, and memories flicker through her mind: her first meeting with Kenshin, and her happiness in life with him, despite mirroring memories of her father. Kenshin wished for peace rather than fighting, though he couldn't set down his sword to forget his past. Kaoru wanted to ease his pain by sharing it with him - vowing that she would stay beside him, no matter what happened.Again reality came to find Kenshin, and he traveled to Kyoto, leaving Kaoru behind in the Dojo. He was injured upon return, but she was there to meet him, unlike her father who she could never welcome home. Megumi warned her that she needed to be strong for him, and as time passes, Kenshin and Kaoru found love within one another. Yet still there could be no peace; upon return to the Dojo, a warning of Jinchu had been left for Kenshin. He finally explained his past to Kaoru, and the meaning of Jinchu (justice for past wrongs by a human hand). Upset, Kaoru went out alone, only to be kidnapped...Kenshin realizes that it's Enishi coming back to get revenge on Kenshin for all the people he murdered and his sister's death. Enishi kidnaps Kaoru and tells her that if she means something to Kenshin, he will come for her. She will then be killed, before he finishes off Kenshin. Kenshin arrives in a week. The battle ensues and Kenshin is almost defeated. Before Enishi can finish him, Kaoru runs and covers Kenshin. Enishi is reminded of his sister and breaks down. Enishi leaves and Kenshin and Kaoru return home.A few years later, Kenji (Kenshin and Kaoru's son) is born. Kenshin starts travelling around Japan for the government and isn't frequently at home. Kaoru waits for him and Kenji starts to dislike his father. Kenji starts to learn the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu from Hiko. By this time, Kenshin has already given the Sakabatou to Yahiko as a gift. Kenshin returns home and has a disease that causes black sores all over his body. Kaoru wants to share his pain, so they make love and then he leaves soon afterwards but tells Kaoru that his real name was Shinta and that he wants her to call him that when he returns. Kenshin gets worse and Kaoru starts to develop tuberculosis as well.Megumi returns to take care of the sick Kaoru, but there's nothing she can do besides slow the disease down till Kenshin returns. In the mean time, Kaoru’s condition worsens and Yahiko decides to go off to find Hiko and bring Kenji home to her. He finds Kenji, but he doesn't want to return home. Hiko tells him that he's decided that he will not teach Kenji the Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu and that it'll die with him. The next morning, Kenji and Yahiko sword fight and Yahiko wins. Yahiko presents Kenshin's Sakabatou to Kenji as a gift, even if it's a little late. Kenji then returns with Yahiko to Kaoru.Kenshin's getting worse and he's in China along with Sanosuke. Sano visits his old friend and is shocked to see how weak Kenshin is. He decides that the only thing he can do is to help his friend return home. He hugs Kenshin and tells him goodbye before Kenshin boards a ship home to Japan. Kenshin finally makes it to Japan and he's nearly dead. He walks all the way to the Kamiya dojo and Kaoru runs towards him and welcomes "Shinta" home. They're on the same road that Kenshin said goodbye to her on years ago when he left for Kyoto. Kenshin lays in her lap near Sakura trees and Kaoru talks to him about how Yahiko probably will soon marry. She looks down and realizes that Kenshin's cross scar has totally healed over and that Kenshin is finally dead…After the credits, we see Kenji walking with a girl.
